We really like vapidity, shallowness and stupidity here...as long as it's pretty. As Frank Zappa once said, "Stupidity is very American." As to why we like stupid in this country, I can only guess. Maybe because we think stupid is being a Real American Average Joe? Why bother using your brain--think with your balls.... But stupid is its own reward, of course.
